Is Ombre Brows Better Than Microblading?

Is Ombre Brows Better Than Microblading?

What is microblading?

The hairs are drawn with a special pen (blade), hence also 'blading'. The skin is, as it were, cut open. This is where the pigments are introduced. Unfortunately, the result of microblading only lasts a few months. Ombre powder brows  (powder technique) last much longer (up to 2 years) compared to microblading. There is also a great risk with microblading that scars can occur due to incisions that are too deep.

Due to the great risks and many disadvantages of microblading, we only fit the  powder brows (powder technique) technique.

Microblading uses a hairstroke technique, where semi- permanent make-up is pigmented as eyebrow hairs. Microblading is sometimes also referred to as hair-strokes or 3D hair-strokes. In the end, it's all about the same technique.

What is powder technique?

This technique of permanent make-up pigments in a very subtle way so that it looks like you have colored your eyebrows with eyebrow powder. The result is semi permanent. This means that after about 2 years you have to give your eyebrows a refresher treatment to enjoy perfect eyebrows for longer.

Powder technique is suitable for all skin types and lasts much longer than microblading.

Is microblading suitable for all skin types?

No, microblading is not recommended if you have oily skin. Because thin incisions are made in the skin with microblading, the chance of rapid fading is high with oily skin or large pores. Therefore, always inform yourself well before undergoing the treatment.

Ombre Brows are a little more pronounced. As a result, you no longer have to put on the eyebrows when you wear makeup, which is necessary in most cases with microblading. Powderbrows look great with and without makeup. Powdered eyebrows have a soft make-up look and are ideal for clients with oily or slightly older skin. Many customers choose this look if they are looking for a look that is a bit more modern and that better suits their skin type.

Both eyebrow styles can be changed to look soft or intense, it all depends on what you want to achieve. If you have oily skin, we recommend a powdered eyebrow or a combination eyebrow.

A powder brow treatment will be performed with a unique device. The brows are powdered to create an ombre look rather than individual hair strokes. This treatment form is suitable for every skin type that wants a soft make-up look. The soft make-up look means that the tips of the eyebrows are darker in color and that they are lighter in color at the beginning. This ensures a subtle change in the eyebrow itself. The ideal target group for this type of PMU eyebrows are those who do have enough hair, but who would like to use a little more make-up. If you have thinner eyebrows it is possible to add extra hair strokes for a little more texture.

The eyebrows of a powder brow treatment normally last 2-3 years, while the eyebrows with microbrows usually last 1 to 2 years.
